Does cleaning change the picture or video quality?
No. Only the metadata blocks are removed. The image and video data itself is copied byte for byte, with no re-compression, so the result is pixel-identical to the original.
Do my files ever leave my phone?
No. Scanning and cleaning both happen on your device. The App has no server for your files, requires no account, and contains no analytics or advertising SDKs.
What happens to the original file?
It is left exactly as it was. The cleaned version is saved as a new file, so you decide whether to keep both or delete the original yourself.
Can it remove C2PA content credentials and AI labels?
Yes. C2PA manifests, content credentials and AI-generated markers are detected and removed along with the rest of the metadata. Only strip them from files you own or have permission to change.
Will a vertical photo come out sideways?
No. The App preserves the file’s orientation while removing everything else, so portraits stay upright.
